Therefore, while giving full play to the role of street lighting environment, it also gives full play to the role of decorating the environment to achieve the harmonious unity of functionality and decoration.

However, due to the inherent shape and installation position of the lamp, the general shape is relatively monotonous. Relatively speaking, the decorative street lamp mainly considers the shape of the lamp, and generally does not consider light distribution and light utilization efficiency. So it is often not mainly used as lighting.

   Therefore, based on the above three points, the decorative category of street lamps should not be limited to courtyard street lamps, but multifaceted. The harmony and unity of road lighting beautification and lighting is reflected in the design's accurate understanding of the lighting target function, the reasonable determination of the lighting level, and the selection of lamp types. For urban arterial roads with a design speed of about 40 kilometers, conventional single and double lighting methods should be selected. If necessary, some courtyard street lights can be added to supplement the lack of decoration; for large overpasses, high-pole lighting should be used as the main lighting and supplemented in local areas. Conventional lighting, on the one hand, makes up for the dark areas of lighting, on the other hand, it also plays an inducing role; for squares, functions should be differentiated, such as leisure squares, garden lights and lawn lights should be installed, such as street squares. For stations, piers or assembly squares, it is more reasonable to install large-scale lighting fixtures to obtain good lighting; for scenic areas and residential quarters, you should choose courtyard lights and lawn lights according to the style, and strictly restrict other types of lighting the way. If we install courtyard lights on an urban arterial road, or install conventional street lights on courtyard paths, this will obviously damage the environment.
